Opel Meriva

GM's Opel division has given us a sneak preview of the production Meriva's design development process, ahead of the new car's official debut at the Geneva motor show in March. Nearly identical to the concept unveiled in 2008, the production Meriva's expressive design will surely make the new car stand out from other offerings in this burgeoning market segment.
In the video to the left, chief exterior designer Neils Loeb explains how the new compact MPV "extends Opel's award-winning form language" giving a "sense of purpose and flair to the small mono-cab segment." Inside, the new Meriva aims to provide optimum levels of space and refinement, with the now characteristic wing-shaped IP "moved down and away so that the front seat passengers have more space than ever before," says chief interior designer Stephan Arndt.
We'll bring you more details of the new car from the Geneva motor show.
