These are the first images of the all-new ASX compact crossover from Mitsubishi, which is set to make its debut at the 80th Geneva motor show in March.
The ASX is the production version of the Concept cX shown at the 2007 Frankfurt motor show as well as European-spec version of the Japanese RVR, which is slated to go on sale in Japan from February 2010. After its reveal in Geneva, Mitsubishi plans to launch the ASX in Europe in late spring 2010.
Measuring 4300mm long, the new five passenger compact crossover will be positioned below the recently redesigned mid-size Outlander crossover and go head to head with the forthcoming Juke from Nissan, which will also be revealed in Geneva. Though photos of the interior have yet to be released, we expect it to be significantly toned down from that of the Concept cX (pictured, left).
We'll bring you more information of the design of the compact ASX when we see the vehicle in the metal at the Geneva motor show.
