Maruti Suzuki Concept R3

India's leading car manufacturer, Maruti Suzuki India Limited, unveiled an array of concepts at Auto Expo 2010, amongst which was this compact MPV. Called the Concept R3, the next-generation vehicle was designed in-house around a central theme of 'togetherness1' to showcase the R&D prowess of the young, enthusiastic team.
Concept R3 carries forward the aggressive Suzuki design philosophy seen in recent bestsellers such as the Swift, Ritz, A-Star concept and SX4. The company's engineers have built in the features and attributes of a sedan in the compact MPV to fill the needs of a family without the vehicle looking awkwardly voluminous or bulky. Its compact proportions are its USP, which facilitates parking and maneuverability in urban milieus.

"The Maruti Suzuki pavilion showcases our strategies for future," Managing Director and CEO Shinzo Nakanishi said. "Offering a wide range of products, with a focus on small cars, will be the basis for our future approach."
