Hyundai Sonata

Hyundai has launched the new 2010 Sonata, a program the Korean automaker began developing in 2005 under the codename YF. Measuring 4820mm long, 1835mm wide and 1470mm tall, the new Sonata rides on a 2795mm long wheelbase.
The perennial best-seller in the Korean market since the first generation model was launched in 1985, the sixth-generation car adopts Hyundai's new 'fluidic sculpture' design language, with a voluminous look that creates character through refined and harmonized lines. The new design aesthetic has been inspired by nature and aims to reflect sophistication and dynamism in the shape of the vehicle. It will serve as the core of Hyundai's future design identity.

The interior has been given a more dynamic look, reinforcing the exterior design theme. Notable elements include the fluid IP, deeply recessed gauges and flowing center stack as well as enhanced comfort and convenience attributes.
Powered by a 2-liter gasoline engine from launch, a 2.4-liter unit - which will be the standard engine in US spec cars - will be added in January.
