Citroën Metropolis concept

Citroën is teasing us with renderings of its Metropolis concept, which will be shown at the Shanghai World Fair from 1 May to 31 October, 2010. Demonstrating the French automaker's vision for the future, the concept was created by PSA's Shanghai-based design team.
Measuring 5300mm long, 2000mm wide and 1400mm high, the Metropolis concept reflects China's avant-garde status, grandeur and vitality. Blending taut lines with smooth surfaces, the concept is said to combine Chinese and French sensibilities. Its front face features incisive fenders and a kite-shaped grille while the rear end balances width and stability with aerodynamic lines, incorporating Citroën's signature design elements such as a concave rear window.
According to Citroën, the concept's silhouette embodies the dynamism and ambition of China in the 21st Century. The concept is also claimed to immerse itself in 'Créative Technologie' — it is powered by a plug-in hybrid drivetrain mated to an all-wheel-drive system and features a Hydractive suspension — balancing environmental responsibility with luxurious comfort and driving pleasure.
